JOHOR BARU – Muda has announced its secretary-general Amira Aisya as its first candidate for the Johor election.

Speaking to a small crowd at Taman Eco Cascadia, the Puteri Wangsa candidate said her campaign will focus on three issues – education, security and economy.

“Puteri Wangsa is an urban constituency, but many students here lack gadgets for online learning.

“Students can’t learn by looking at a smartphone, they need the right tools.

“Security here is also an issue, and I want the welfare of our frontliners to be taken care of,” Amira said.

Meanwhile, responding to the tussle between PKR and Muda for the Puteri Wangsa seat, Amira emphasised that she has great respect for all partners in the opposition.

She also said that Muda Johor has strong machinery in the state to help with campaigns.

“I’m also thankful for our friends in DAP and Amanah, where according to our electoral pact, Muda will assist candidates from those parties and vice versa,” she added.

Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman commented on PKR’s decision to announce several election candidates today, saying that the matter will be taken into account by his party, and that a final decision would be made soon. – The Vibes, February 14, 2022
