KUALA LUMPUR – Sg Benus in Bentong overflowed during the continuous downpour last night, causing Kg Kemasur to be inundated.
According to the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department, the team from the Bentong station saved five men, four women and a child when making its rounds in the village.
It added that the firefighters are patrolling the affected areas as the downpour continues.
Meanwhile, Astro Awani reported that several areas near Sg Penjuring are flooded, such as Kg Perting, Kg Repas, Kg Chamang and Kg Sg Penjuring.
The river started to overflow into Bentong town at 10am and waters subsided 90 minutes later.
Residents are advised to remain vigilant and to contact the authorities should there be any emergencies. – The Vibes, March 18, 2022
