KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia recorded 822 new Covid-19 cases today, taking its overall infections to 42,872. 

Seven of the cases were imported, with six involving Malaysians.

Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, in his daily update, said another 769 patients have recovered, pushing up the total to 31,073.

Two deaths were recorded today – a 22-year-old woman with a history of cardiac arrest, and a 67-year-old woman with a history of osteoarthritis and gastroenteritis.

Dr Noor Hisham said three fresh clusters were detected, namely Karamunting in Sandakan with 21 cases, Saga in Kota Kinabalu (9) and Haven in Lahad Datu (11).
