GEORGE TOWN – Penang’s Chinese voters are returning to support Barisan Nasional (BN) after being left frustrated by the DAP-led Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administration, Penang MCA said today.

MCA Jelutong parliamentary coordinator Ooi Chee Hock said the state’s Chinese community has been frustrated by what he called DAP’s failure to keep to their election promises.

“When DAP was the opposition, they criticised the BN state government for not resolving Sg Pinang’s river pollution and the flooding problems during rainy days,” Ooi told a news conference here.

“But what have they done after forming the state government for the last 14 years?” he said.

Ooi said they are seeing a steady return of Chinese support, which he said was on full display during former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s visit to the state over the weekend. – The Vibes, March 29, 2022
