Nation’s daily infections spike to over 12,000 cases
Currently, active Covid-19 cases in Malaysia are at 171,172, of which 167,130 are under home quarantine, 3,423 admitted to hospitals and 385 cases in low-risk treatment and quarantine centres. KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia has logged an increase in daily Covid-19 cases with 12,017 infection, of which 7,448 are recorded in Selangor, bringing the cumulative total to 4,268,486.

This is followed by Kuala Lumpur (756), Johor (560), Penang (457), Kedah (456), Negri Sembilan (440), Sarawak (406), Perak (337), Pahang (252), Terengganu (247), Sabah (198), Melaka (163), Kelantan (155), Perlis (33), Putrajaya (38), and Labuan (31).

According to CovidNow portal, the country has another 33 reported deaths, with the toll at 35,160. Data also shows that 10 victims were brought-in-dead cases.

Kepong here has another cluster – Jalan Bukit Kiara 2 education cluster – with 16 infections and a positivity rate of 29.1%.
