KUALA LUMPUR – PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang today blamed Ukraine’s Zionist links as being the reason behind Russia’s invasion.

The Marang MP called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy – the country’s first Jewish president – a “hardcore Zionist”, and alleged that Ukraine has become a Zionist base, as “40% of its people are either Zionists or Jewish, even if actual statistics are hidden.”

“Zelenskyy said that Ukraine must be saved like Israel, thus making this claim even clearer,” Hadi said in a Facebook post.

Hadi said the special treatment afforded to Ukrainian refugees, compared to victims of war in West Asia and Africa, is proof of how Zionists are strongly influencing European countries and their allies.

The senior politician also claimed that there was information stating that Ukraine’s Jewish community did not heed the Zionist call for them to migrate to Israel to strengthen their push for a great Israeli state that they envision in the end times.

“Hence, this war is a way of forcing them to migrate to Israel where they have a settlement prepared,” he said.

Hadi said Nato and its European and American members are also to be blamed for provoking the Ukraine invasion by attempting to recruit new members among former Soviet states along the Russian border.

“The move by Nato to build its military might was an act of provocation that forced Russia to launch a preemptive attack to save its nation.”

He called for a swift end to the war, which has sparked an economic crisis involving Ukraine as the world’s largest wheat producer and Russia as a key supplier of natural gas to many European nations.

“We hope this war is contained and stopped and does not turn into World War III,” Abdul Hadi said.

“The Southeast Asian region and the South China Sea should never again be a battlefield as it was during World War II. No leader should be so short-sighted that he is willing to be manipulated.” – The Vibes, April 7, 2022
