KUALA LUMPUR – Batu MP P. Prabakaran has unseated party veteran Chua Tian Chang for the Batu PKR division chief post, according to the results released today.

The 26-year-old politician defeated his former mentor and incumbent with 211 votes, after garnering 517 ballots against Chua’s 306.

The overall results excluded votes that required verification by the party’s election committee.

However, Prabakaran held 82 of these votes, as opposed to Chua’s 24, which bears no effect on the overall results.

Meanwhile, the deputy Batu division chief post went to Mohd Hafiz Solkapeli who gained 458 votes, while fellow contender Ramli Taha received 310. – The Vibes, May 29, 2022
