KUALA LUMPUR – Australian cricket legend and commentator Shane Warne has suddenly passed away at age 52 in Thailand today.
Warne, who is known to be the greatest leg-spinner in the game was found unresponsive in his villa in Koh Samui and failed to be revived despite due medical attention.
According to Fox Cricket, quoting Warne’s management, his family has since requested privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.
Warne had tweeted earlier today in memory of Australian cricketer and England selector Rod Marsh, who passed away on the same day.

Known as “Warnie”, he was known by many to be the greatest bowler to ever play the game and adored by millions.
His international career spanned 15 years and saw home take 708 Test wickets.
This was the most ever for an Australian and the second-most of all time behind only Muttiah Muralitharan.
Warne made his Test debut at the Sydney Cricket Ground in 1992 and become a key figure across all formats in one of the greatest periods of dominance in the cricket world by any team.
He was a member of Australia’s World Cup triumph in 1999, and also part of five Ashes-winning sides between 1993 and 2003. – The Vibes, March 4, 2022
