IPOH – Perak FC announced the appointment of One XOX Sdn Bhd chief executive officer (CEO) Bobie Farid Shamsudin as the club’s interim CEO effective today.

The Bos Gaurus, in a statement today, also announced the appointment of Badrol Izman Osman as the interim chief financial officer to assist Bobie in all team-related matters.

“These appointments will support Perak FC’s bid to escape from the 2022 Premier League relegation zone, with nine matches to go,” the statement added.

The statement also said that Perak FC are striving to sign at least 14 new players during the second transfer window period, which opened on May 28, to further strengthen the team and achieve their main goal of returning to the top-tier Super League.

“Previously, these 14 players could not be registered after sanctions were imposed by world governing body FIFA on Perak following the club’s failure to settle players’ salary arrears on February 22.

“The failure to settle the players’ salary arrears also resulted in Perak FC being punished with a nine-point deduction by the First Instance Body (FIB) in April,” the statement added.

Previously, it was reported that XOX Pro Sport Sdn Bhd had entered into a share sale agreement with Impact Media & Communication Sdn Bhd to take over Perak FC. – Bernama, June 1, 2022
