ROBO.ai Inc has appointed Changer.ae senior executive officer Wang Hao as an independent director, with the appointment taking effect immediately.

Wang will also serve on the Nasdaq-listed company’s Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, and Strategy and ESG Committee.

The company said its board had determined that Wang met the independence requirements under Nasdaq listing rules and US Securities and Exchange Commission regulations.

Wang has two decades of experience in finance and technology, including work in digital assets, blockchain, asset tokenisation, investment banking, family offices and global macro hedge funds.

He is currently a senior executive officer at Changer.ae. 

He was previously chief operating officer of Singapore-based digital asset platform SGTOX and MetaBank, where he worked on blockchain-based technology solutions for developing countries.

Wang also held senior positions at IDEG Singapore and its affiliated companies, including overseeing the establishment of the group’s global headquarters in Singapore and the acquisition of a fund management licence.

Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at Citi and Nomura.

A CFA charterholder since 2010, Wang is also a Chartered Fellow of the Global FinTech Institute. He holds materials engineering degrees from Tsinghua University and the University of Tokyo.

Wang replaces Yehong Ji, who resigned from the board and its committees on Aug 11.

Robo.ai said Ji had confirmed that his resignation was not due to any dispute or disagreement with the company or its board. - August 27, 2026
