AMANAH Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) has declared an income distribution of 5.00 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Malaysia 2 – Wawasan (ASM 2 Wawasan) for the financial year ending Aug 31, 2026.
The RM1.31 billion distribution is the fund’s highest in seven years and will benefit more than 1.01 million unit holders with total holdings of 26.3 billion units.
The 5.00% distribution also outperformed its benchmark, the 12-month Maybank fixed deposit rate of 2.01%, by 299 basis points.
As at Aug 24, 2026, ASM 2 Wawasan had recorded realised net income of RM1.43 billion.
The fund’s distribution rose from 4.75 sen per unit in the previous financial year to 5.00 sen this year.
ASNB said the stronger performance reflected the fund’s resilience in navigating an increasingly uncertain investment environment, amid heightened geopolitical tensions, including the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, shifting interest rate expectations and continued market volatility.
Unit holders who opted for the khultah zakat arrangement (Class B) will receive a net distribution after zakat, with 2.57% deducted from the dividend.
This translates into an estimated net distribution rate of 4.87%, based on the declared gross distribution of 5.00%. - August 28, 2026
