IN an attempt to commemorate one of the most disastrous floods in 2014, Bahkolektion, along with one of the most important master carver in Malaysia, Adiguru Muhaimin Hasbollah, created nine pieces of artwork to be sold in an exhibition gallery, Rumah Lukis, until April 23.

Titled ‘Temerloh Series 2021’, all the pieces were salvaged from the flood that took place in 2014, in which most of it was either discarded or burned, as part of frustration during the time of tragedy.

The exhibition, located in Lembah Keramat, was curated by designer Muhamad Razif Nasruddin and painter-artist Sharina Shahrin since August last year. As the two-week event is supported by CWSB, a subsidiary of Malaysian Timber Industry Board, a percentage of the sales proceed will go to the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) to support their continuous effort in aiding the needy. – The Vibes, April 17, 2021
