IT has been almost six months since intense flooding devastated parts of Klang, killing more than two dozen and forcing many thousands to flee. Many returned to waterlogged homes and are still struggling to rebuild.

This past week, Klang MP Charles Santiago visited flood victims' houses in Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam. This photo was taken on Wednesday at 9:30pm, and shows photography skills in both the form of frame and reflection.

Taking candid photos come with their own difficulties because every movement of the subject is not determined by the photographer, so we have to move quickly to find a beautiful angle from which to capture images. As a photographer, we have to examine everything around us to capture a picture spontaneously without the need for us to act it out, because an off the cuff image is more dramatic than something staged.

I think a picture like this can give a true picture of the subject's situation. – The Vibes, May 22, 2022
