NETIZENS shared mixed feelings following a move by a condominium management to publicise the names of its residents who defaulted on their monthly maintenance fees on an electronic display board.

Posted by TikTok user @staywoke_property, the display board shows the names, unit numbers and amounts owed by the defaulters.

The amounts owed ranged from RM5,000 to RM15,000 - an amount that surprised many netizens.

While some felt it was a good way of recovering the amount, others said it was a breach of privacy and should not be done.

Some netizens said their condo management displayed the names and unit numbers of defaulters in their notice boards visible only to residents.

Another netizen said his management did this monthly, but the details were only displayed in the lifts and not publicly. - April 18, 2025
