A FIVE-year-old boy died after he is believed to have fallen from his residential unit on the 24th floor of a condominium in Teluk Kumbar, Penang, last night.

The victim was found by the public at about 11.30 pm on the fifth floor of the condominium before being confirmed dead by health workers at the scene.

The victim's body was sent to the Penang Hospital (HPP) for a post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Barat Daya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Anuwal Ab Wahab, stated that the police would issue a statement on the incident soon.

Earlier, through a Facebook post, Bayan Lepas State Assemblyman (ADUN) Azrul Mahathir Aziz informed that he was at the scene of the incident to assist as needed.

"I was at the location between 12.15 and 2 am after being informed of the incident involving the child who is believed to have fallen from his residence on the 24th floor.

"May they be given strength, fortitude and patience," he said in the statement. – June 26, 2026
