UNITED States (US) President Donald Trump has offered the position of White House Press Secretary to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Dana White.
In a post on the Truth Social platform on Saturday, Trump described White as a great fighter and warrior, and urged him to accept the offer.
“I am pleased to announce that the great Dana White—a fighter and a warrior—has been offered the position of United States Press Secretary.
“Dana, please accept the position!” he said.
The position of White House Press Secretary has been vacant since October 16, following Katie Zacharia’s departure from the role less than a week after her appointment.
White is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the UFC, the world’s largest and most successful mixed martial arts organisation.
Trump also listed six UFC fighters whom he hopes White will bring to the White House as advisors, including several individuals who are not U.S. citizens.
Two of them hail from Russia, while another is from Brazil.
Trump and White have long shared a close friendship, with the U.S. President frequently associating his "MAGA" political brand with the UFC, which boasts a large global following. – November 8, 2026
