SCOOT, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), has unveiled plans to add three new destinations to its Southeast Asian network. From October to November 2025, the airline will commence flights to Da Nang and Nha Trang in Vietnam, as well as Kota Bharu in Malaysia.
Subject to regulatory approval, further expansion is on the horizon, with services to Medan and Labuan Bajo in Indonesia and Okinawa in Japan set to launch during the Northern Winter 2025 season.
Located on Vietnam’s central coast, Da Nang is renowned for its pristine beaches, iconic bridges and nearby cultural attractions, including the UNESCO-listed My Son Sanctuary and the ancient towns of Hoi An and Hue.
Scoot will initially operate three flights a week to Da Nang from 20 October 2025 using Airbus A320 family aircraft, ramping up to daily services by December.
Further south, Nha Trang draws visitors with its lively nightlife and coastal charm. Flights to Nha Trang will commence on 21 November 2025, operating twice weekly with the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. Services will progressively increase to five times weekly by January 2026.
In Malaysia, Kota Bharu – capital of Kelantan and a centre of traditional Malay culture – will be served with twice-weekly flights from 26 October 2025, also using the E190-E2 aircraft.
Known for its royal heritage, riverside mosques and vibrant markets, the city offers a rich cultural experience, including Rebana Ubi drumming, Silat performances and shadow puppet theatre.
Travellers from Malaysia will be able to connect to Scoot’s Vietnamese destinations via Singapore.
One-way economy class fares start from RM269 to Da Nang and RM279 to Nha Trang, inclusive of taxes. Fares from Kota Bharu to Singapore start from RM109.
With these new additions, Scoot will operate 115 weekly flights to 12 Malaysian cities and 44 weekly flights to five destinations in Vietnam.
The airline will also increase flight frequencies across its network from July 2025 in anticipation of heightened travel demand leading into the year-end holiday season.
In Indonesia, flights to Jakarta will increase from 25 to 28 times weekly. In the Philippines, Clark will rise from five to seven flights weekly from August,
Davao will increase from 10 to 12 flights from September, and Manila will grow from 13 to 14 flights weekly, with seven of those operated by Boeing 787 widebody aircraft.
Thailand will see flights to Hat Yai increase from 10 to 11 times weekly from September.
In Australia, Scoot will boost flights to Perth from 12 to 14 times weekly starting in August 2025. Services to Sydney will grow from 10 to 14 weekly flights beginning in July.
