MALAYSIA will host Southeast Asia’s largest creative event later this year with *RIUH x ASEAN 2025*, a major cross-border initiative set to take place from 17 to 26 October 2025, as announced by Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil today.

Organised by the Ministry of Communications through MyCreative Ventures, the festival aims to create new regional opportunities across the creative and entrepreneurial landscape, aligning with the ASEAN 2025 vision of unity, inclusivity and sustainability.

Among the headline events is the RIUH x ASEAN Marketplace, scheduled from 22 to 26 October in Kuala Lumpur. It will feature over 200 creative brands and 100 food and beverage vendors from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The marketplace will also host more than 40 live performances, 30 interactive workshops and 20 creative activations designed to foster industry networking among entrepreneurs and creatives from across ASEAN. Applications for local brand participation will open from 1 September to 1 October 2025.

A series of RIUH Gallery pop-up events will precede the main programme, beginning on 1 October 2025 at strategic locations across the Klang Valley.

These events will showcase indie music performances, stand-up comedy, literary readings, spoken word sessions and visual art exhibitions, offering a platform for Malaysian talents to present their work and engage with live audiences.

The event will also see the debut of FrequenSEA, ASEAN’s first-ever regional music conference, to be held on 21 and 22 October 2025 in Kuala Lumpur.

Open to the public and free of charge, the conference is expected to draw over 200 participants including musicians, producers, content creators and industry leaders for in-depth discussions on the future of Southeast Asia’s music industry.
