ONE lane of the Batu Ferringhi Road heading towards Tanjong Tokong in Penang, will be closed until November 30 to make way for road repair works.

The Public Works Department (JKR) said in a statement that the closure was carried out following cracks and deposits on the road.

"The closure of this one-lane is to make way for repair and other related works, by contractors appointed by the North East District JKR.

"The partial closure of the road will be until November 30," the statement said, today.

JKR advises road users to be careful, slow down and obey traffic instructions at the site.

Meanwhile, Exco for Infrastructure, Transport and Digital, Zairil Khir Johari said that civil engineering companies are carrying out soil nailing work, which is a construction method to stabilise slopes or land banks.
