SONY has taken measures to disrupt the production plans of Customise My Plates, previously known as PlateStation, to sell its custom Playstation 5 (PS5) cover plates by forcing the company to stop taking further orders or risk legal action.

The update came as a shock to fans who were eagerly seeking different ways to personalise the PS5 for a more unique pop of colour to lift the look of the standard white factory stock.

Pre-orders for the third-party colored PS5 plates which come in silver, red, black, blue and camo have also been cancelled and in the process of refund.

The unofficial seller shared a statement on Twitter: “We’ll work hard over the weekend to get this (refund process) done so please bear with us. Once complete you’ll receive an email.”

This is the latest update in the leadup to the release of the gaming console set in November.  – The Vibes, November 3, 2020
