IN an attempt to spread the festive cheer leading up to the weekend, Roberto's 1020 Osteria put together a Christmas carol over lunch supported by the Lighthouse Children Welfare Home Association at its Bangsar Shopping Centre outlet yesterday.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was filled with classic sing-along tunes sung by children of the home in high spirits, which delighted patrons while they enjoyed their meals.

Petra Cucina chief executive Roberto Guiati shared: “We want to give back a little bit and make this year’s Christmas more special than usual”.

“Having the kids here for the first time is great because they get to try our signature pizzas and enjoy the Roberto’s experience together.”

Noting that the Italian restaurant is all about casual family dining, Guiati expressed how the carolling added a touch of relaxed familiarity when one thinks of the year-end celebration.

While there may not be a specific Christmas menu set for patrons who are potentially looking at hosting lunch or dinner parties, the restaurateur does share that, “...we will try and create one or two dishes to mark the occasion.

“Being close to [restaurant] service is something that I like. So you will be seeing me at Roberto’s this festive season with my family and friends,” highlighted Guiati when asked how he is celebrating the weekend.

“We have been operating for exactly a year already, and I am glad to share that business has been fairly great despite the setbacks of lockdown that we had.

“Roberto’s is also grateful for its returning customers that have been closely supporting [us], so this type of light entertainment planned for the day is in a way done to share the joys with both regulars and new diners,” he added. – The Vibes, December 23, 2021
