KUALA LUMPUR – Olivia Nicholas, 30, a lawyer from Ipoh, was crowned Mrs Malaysia World 2022 here last night.

Olivia, who is married to a doctor and is a mother of one, won RM10,000. She was crowned with an RM88,000 tiara at the final of the event which had 17 shortlisted participants.

Dr Shalini Devi, 35, from Shah Alam, is first runner-up; Dr Vaisnavi Kumarasamy, 29, from Kuala Lumpur, the second runner-up and Selvinder Kaur, 30, also from Kuala Lumpur, the third runner-up, said Datin Harveen Kaur, the national director of Mrs Malaysia World Sdn Bhd.

Toh Puan Raghad Kurdi Taib, wife of Sarawak Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud, was the guest of honour at the event.

Harveen said Olivia would represent Malaysia at the Mrs World 2022 pageant in Las Vegas.

She also said that Tharsyani Vijaya Kumar, 26, from Negeri Sembilan, had been picked as Mrs Malaysia World ambassador. – Bernama, October 30, 2022
