YANG-di Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar today presented Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki with some honey to mark the end of the monarch’s honeymoon period.
"As I mentioned before, my honeymoon is over, now go catch the bees," he said in a Facebook post.
The King also stressed that fighting corruption as the number one national enemy remains his main focus.
Earlier, Azam Baki was granted an audience with Sultan Ibrahim at the Istana Negara here and the meeting lasted for almost 30 minutes.
Last month, Sultan Ibrahim said he was ready to implement his true style of rule after the end of the "honeymoon" period.
Before ascending to the throne, Sultan Ibrahim warned that he would come down hard on corruption, saying he would "hunt all the corrupt people".
During the meeting, Azam Baki also presented the latest developments of the enforcement agency to Sultan Ibrahim. - The Vibes, April 1, 2024
