THE sentiments of Malay voters in Johor and Negeri Sembilan cannot be compared apples to apples to gauge the real support of the people ahead of the State Election (PRN) on August 1.
Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, said he was confident voters in this state would still choose the PH government to continue the administration's agenda.
"Let's just wait for the upcoming results. We leave it to the wisdom of the people.
"Don't equate the people of Johor with the people of Negeri Sembilan. They have their own choices. I hope the Malay community knows how to make good choices in this matter.
"I leave it to the Malay voters to decide, and I am still confident that they will support Pakatan Harapan in Negeri Sembilan," he said.
Earlier, former UMNO Youth Chief, Khairy Jamaluddin, during a program in Lenggeng, revealed that he got some figures from a study conducted on the results of the recent Johor State Election (PRN).
He claimed that the study found that PH candidates did not get 10 per cent of the Malay votes.
The former Health Minister, however, did not state the source of the study.
Asked about the many studies and findings that emerged during the campaign, which has just entered its first week, Aminuddin said it did not disrupt the PH machinery's focus on the campaign.
"We are more focused, and we will continue working hard to win their trust.
"That was just a study; they took a sample of some names that may have been accurate before. But we need to see our grassroots, the people of Johor and the people of Negeri Sembilan are different," he said. – July 24, 2026
