Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said five family members of the suspect have been arrested to assist in the investigation into the attack.

Two complainants who filed reports on the attack have also been detained to assist in the probe.

A 24-year-old masked assailant stormed the police station about 2.45am today, armed with a gun and a parang.

Two policemen were killed and another officer was injured before the suspect was shot dead.
