VIRAL photographs of a mother holding her baby who is suffering from lung problems and dependent on a breathing aid on a motorcycle with the baby's father has caught the attention of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Following this, the Prime Minister's Political Secretary Ahmad Farhan Fauzi requested that anyone who knew the family share information on the comments section of his Facebook so they could contact them.

"This has received the attention of YAB Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and God willing we will help this family improve their daily lives," Farhan said in his Facebook post today.

The family has since been identified as Mohd Azlan Ishak, 36, and his wife Norhidayu Halim, 35, from Taman Kota Nelayan, Kuala Kedah who could not afford the taxi fare to bring their baby to hospital.

According to a sharing that went viral on social media, Mohd Azlan earns only RM50 a day as an assistant in a fish market.

Mohd Azlan said their 11-month-old baby boy had to rely on a respirator most of the time due to chronic lung problems. – The Vibes, May 21, 2024.
