SEVERAL Klang Valley neighborhoods may face a temporary water disruption today following an odour pollution incident at Sungai Kundang and Sungai Sembah in Selangor. 

The odour pollution has caused temporary shutdowns at four water treatment plants: Rantau Panjang, Sungai Selangor Phase 1, Sungai Selangor Phase 2, and Sungai Selangor Phase 3. 

Air Selangor said the affected areas are Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, and Kuala Selangor. 

The water company said it was doing its best to mitigate the impact on consumers while providing alternative assistance through water tankers.
