HEALTHY activities are needed for civil servants as many are currently grappling with obesity-related problems, said Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali.
He said this was crucial given that obesity rates had surpassed 50% of the population, with a significant number being civil servants in Putrajaya.
Zuki said healthy activities must be promoted at all levels in the civil service – within agencies and ministries, or on an individual basis.
“Therefore, it is essential for individuals to engage in health-promoting activities, such as running, to encourage a healthier lifestyle,” he told reporters in Putrajaya after the launch of the Putrajaya Car-free Day programme and the Civil Service Premier Assembly XIX 2024 run.
The run was officiated by Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof. – August 3, 2024.
