A 12-YEAR-OLD girl who was reported missing on Oct 8 (Tuesday) after she went to retrieve food from a car parked at her flat in Bandar Bukit Tinggi 1, Klang, has been found safe.

Investigations revealed that Madrafataha Indal Bangsawan may have been kidnapped.

South Klang police chief Cha Hoong Fong in a statement, said the victim was found at about 2.30 pm yesterday (Saturday).

"Six people including two women, aged between 13 and 23, were arrested to facilitate police investigations into the case.

"Closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at nearby premises showed the child was seen walking and getting into a black (Perodua) Myvi, in which she is believed to have been kidnapped," he said, adding that the car has also since been seized.

He said all the suspects, including one who has a prior criminal record, have been remanded.

"The case has been reclassified under Section 363 of the Penal Code for kidnapping a child from lawful guardianship, which carries the maximum seven years' jail and a fine," he said.
