Sultan Ibrahim Welcomes Anwar despite Sunday traditionally being a rest day - April 6, 2025

HIS MAJESTY Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, welcomed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to Istana Negara for an audience today, despite Sunday traditionally being a rest day.

A post shared on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s official Facebook page highlighted the King’s continued dedication to his duties, stating that while Sunday is typically reserved for rest,

His Majesty remains committed to fulfilling official obligations at his office within Istana Negara.

According to the post, Sultan Ibrahim began his day by granting an audience to senior officers at Istana Negara, before meeting with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at around 7 am.

The meeting underscored the King’s active role in Malaysia’s governance, even on designated rest days. - April 6, 2025
