SEVERAL political figures and government leaders paid their last respects to former Prime Minister, the late Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, at the National Mosque this morning.

Among those present were former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who arrived at 10:57 am with his son, former Kedah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.

Also drawing attention was the presence of another former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak, who was allowed to arrive earlier at 10:35am under tight security by the Malaysian Prison Department.

Najib's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, also arrived separately to pay her last respects.

Also seen entering the grounds of the National Mosque was former Chief Minister of Penang, Tan Sri Koh Su Koon.

Malaysian-born Hollywood actress, Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, also took the time to visit Tun Abdullah's remains at the National Mosque around 11 am.

Pak Lah as he is foncly known passed away at the age of 85 at the National Heart Institute (IJN) at 7:10 pm last night.

The funeral will be held at the Warriors’ Mausoleum today after the Zohor prayer. - April 15, 2025
