A THREE-year-old girl was killed and two adults injured in a single-vehicle accident involving a Perodua Myvi that veered off the road at Jalan Adda 5, Taman Adda Heights, in Johor Bharu just after midnight.

Senior Fire Officer II Izwan Abdullah from the Tebrau Fire and Rescue Station said the emergency call was received at 12.39am.

“Upon arrival at the scene, our team found three victims inside the vehicle,” he said in a statement.

“A 24-year-old man sustained injuries, while a 23-year-old woman was seriously hurt and trapped in the front passenger seat.

“The young girl in the vehicle was not trapped but was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health,” he added.

Firefighters used road traffic accident (RTA) rescue equipment to extricate the trapped woman from the wreckage. Both adult victims received initial treatment at the scene before being taken to Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI) for further care.

The child’s body was handed over to police for further investigation.

The operation was fully concluded at 2.24am. - April 23, 2025
