HOME Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail heads the list of Sabah award recipients in this year’s in conjunction with the official birthday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Musa Aman.

He is awarded the Setia Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (SPDK), which carries the title “Datuk Seri” this year.

Other recipients of the similar award include energy industry leader and federal policy advisor Datuk Ahmad Fuad Md Ali , Datuk Jahid @ Noordin Jahim, Sabah’s Minister of Rural Development and businessman Datuk Lim Yu Ming.

A total of 87 individuals were awarded the PGDK this year.

Among the notable political figures on the list are Kapayan Assemblywoman Jannie Lasimbang, Sabah Amanah Chief Lahirul Latigu, PBS youth chief Christopher Mandut,Senator Dr Fuziah Salleh, deputy tourism, culture and arts minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar khan, Amer Hamzah Arshad, engineering academic Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosalam Sarbatly, and Senator Anna Bell @ Suzieana Perian.

They recieved the Panglima Setia Darjah Kinabalu which carries the title Datuk.

The awards ceremony, commemorating the Governor’s official birthday, continues a long-standing tradition of recognising outstanding service in government, the civil service, academia, law enforcement, business, the arts, and community development.

This year, 116 individuals were conferred the Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu (ASDK), while 274 received the Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK), 320 the Bintang Setia Kinabalu (BSK), 421 the Bintang Kinabalu, and 144 recipients were awarded the Certificate of Honour. - June 20, 2025
