Appointment in accordance with BN’s constitution - June 25, 2025

BARISAN Nasional (BN) has reappointed Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir as Secretary-General and Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani as Treasurer-General, as confirmed during the coalition’s 2025 Annual General Assembly.

In a statement issued on Tuesday evening, Zambry said the appointments were made in accordance with Clauses 8.3 (D) and 8.3 (E) of the BN Constitution.

“The 2025 Annual General Assembly reaffirms our unwavering commitment to strengthening the party as an inclusive political platform and to remaining united under the Barisan Nasional banner,” Zambry said.

He added that BN is fully prepared for the upcoming Sabah state election, which is widely anticipated to be held in the near future.

“Political stability in Sabah is key to enhancing security, economic development, and the well-being of the people in the Land Below the Wind,” he said. - June 25, 2025
