A 26-YEAR-OLD woman died after falling from the eighth floor of a hotel in Port Dickson in an incident on Wednesday.

 Port Dickson Fire and Rescue station chief Mohd Kamal Mohd Timar said his department received a report on the incident at around 6.30pm.

"The victim is believed to have fallen onto the balcony on the first floor of the hotel," he said in a statement.

He said the fire brigade carried out rescue work using a 'bucket stretcher' to bring the victim down.

"The victim was later confirmed dead by a medical officer from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) Port Dickson.

"The case has been handed over to the police for further investigation," he said.

Meanwhile, Port Dickson District Police Chief, Superintendent Maslan Udin confirmed the incident.

“We have just started the investigation. At this time, I am not able to share further information.

"Further information about the case will be provided after the autopsy process is completed," he said. – June 26, 2025
