A MALAYSIAN social media influencer known as “CEO Batu” pleaded not guilty at the Ampang Sessions Court today to a charge of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in May this year.

Muhamad Iqbal Muhamad, 22, is accused of committing a non-physical sexual assault against the girl—who was 13 years and 10 months old at the time—at a residential unit in Sunway Batu Caves at 1.16am on 16 May.

The charge falls under Section 15(a)(1) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which carries a penalty of up to 10 years’ imprisonment, a fine of up to RM20,000, or both upon conviction.

Judge Norshila Kamarudin granted bail of RM6,000 with one surety and imposed conditions that the accused must not disturb the victim and must report to the nearest police station once a month until the case is resolved.

The court fixed 14 August for mention.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Nadiah Malek Fauzie appeared for the prosecution, while the accused was represented by lawyer Mohd Anif Rafih. - July 10, 2025
