PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will make a special announcement of appreciation for Malaysians at 10.30am on Wednesday, in what he described as a meaningful gesture reflecting the government’s commitment to the people’s welfare and their continued support for national reforms.

“May this announcement benefit the widest possible group of people and reflect our collective efforts to build a more just and prosperous future,” Anwar said in a post shared via his official social media platforms.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil also confirmed that the announcement will be made tomorrow morning, highlighting it as a “special gesture of appreciation for all Malaysians”.

Speaking on Monday at the monthly assembly of the Prime Minister’s Department, Anwar had hinted at what he termed “an extraordinary gesture” to be revealed on either Tuesday or Wednesday, but provided no further details at the time.

The announcement will be broadcast live on major television networks, including RTM, TV3, Astro Awani, Bernama TV, TVS and TV AlHijrah, in addition to being streamed via Facebook Live and other social media platforms.

No specifics have yet been disclosed regarding the content of the announcement.

Earlier, it was reported that  Anwar is set to make a significant announcement expressing special appreciation to all Malaysians tomorrow morning, according to Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

“YAB Perdana Menteri will make an announcement regarding appreciation for all Malaysians at 10.30am on Wednesday, 23 July 2025. Stay tuned,” Fahmi said briefly on his Facebook account.

Anwar had previously mentioned during the Monthly Assembly of the Prime Minister’s Department in Putrajaya yesterday that the extraordinary appreciation for the people would be announced either today or tomorrow.

Earlier, the Prime Minister hinted at a major announcement via a post on his social media, describing it as an extraordinary gesture of gratitude for Malaysians. However, no further details on the nature of the announcement have been disclosed. - July 22, 2025
