THE Pahang Royal Palace has strongly denied that Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, has ever offered financial or charitable assistance through the TikTok platform.

In a statement issued via the official Facebook page of the Pahang Royal Household, the palace clarified that a TikTok account under the name ‘Datuk Muhammad Yusuf’ had been actively deceiving the public by using artificially generated images of Her Majesty.

“The Pahang Palace emphasises that this is an irresponsible attempt at fraud which may tarnish the reputation of the royal institution,” the statement read.

The palace warned that the misuse of Tunku Azizah’s likeness through artificial intelligence (AI) technology was a serious concern and called on members of the public to exercise caution.

“People are advised to be vigilant, to verify the authenticity of any information, and not to be easily swayed by false offers circulated via social media,” it added.

The public is also urged to lodge reports with the authorities should they receive suspicious messages or be contacted in the name of Tengku Ampuan Pahang. - Sept 8, 2025
