SINCE Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the implementation of BUDI95 on September 22, almost 10,000 MyKads with damaged chips have been replaced across Malaysia.

According to Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, typically, around 1,000 replacements are made across the country every day. However, this figure has since skyrocketed.

"Alhamdulillah, it seems that Malaysians are starting to get ready to enjoy the targeted subsidy of BUDI95.

"With our initiative to waive the RM10 fee for replacing damaged chips from September 23 to October 7, 2025, the Madani Government will bear a cost of around RM714,000," he said.

However, he said they are proud to be an agency that supports the success of BUDI95.

"This is important to ensure that MyKad remains a valid document to distinguish citizens and non-citizens, thus helping to make the targeted subsidy policy specifically for Malaysians a success.

"This is the true face of the Madani Government – caring, concerned, and people-oriented," he said. - September 26, 2025
