A TRAILER lorry crashed into a car parked on the side of Jalan Hospital Sungai Buloh, yesterday evening after allegedly making an illegal U-turn.

The incident went viral on social media after a one-minute 32-second dashboard video recording showed the trailer attempting to make a U-turn before reversing and hitting a car parked on the shoulder of the road.

The video recording clearly showed that the heavy vehicle made a U-turn at the entrance to an intersection with a sign prohibiting U-turns.

In the 3.40pm incident, no injuries were reported.

Sungai Buloh District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor, said initial investigations found that the trailer driver from Klang was on his way to a factory in Sungai Buloh before he mistakenly entered the road.

"The driver attempted to make a U-turn and while reversing, the trailer hit a Proton Saga car parked on the left shoulder of the road.

"The trailer driver and the owner of the car came to lodge a police report at the Sungai Buloh District Police Headquarters (IPD) on the same day," he said in a statement today.

The incident is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987 which provides for a fine of up to RM10,000 or imprisonment of up to 12 months if convicted. - September 30, 2025
