FOUR teenagers, three of whom are students at a local school, were detained by police in connection with the alleged gang-rape of a girl and the dissemination of pornographic material.

Acting Baling District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Ahmad Salimi Mat Ali, stated that police received a report on Sunday at approximately 11:00am from a 53-year-old complainant after a disciplinary teacher was informed about a nude video involving the complainant's daughter.

Following the report, the three students and a former student of the same school were detained at 9:30pm the same day to assist with the investigation.

"Further investigations revealed that the four suspects were found to have committed sexual acts, including group sex, between May and August in several locations within the school premises," he said.

"Consequently, all the suspects were detained and remanded for five days starting from the date of their arrest, and six mobile phones were seized for further investigations," he added.

Ahmad Salimi noted that the case is being investigated under Section 375B of the Penal Code for gang-rape and the transmission of child pornography.

He emphasised that the police view the incident seriously and urged the public, especially parents and guardians, to monitor the activities and movements of their children, particularly teenagers. - October 16, 2025
