GOMBAK Police confirm a 54-year-old man, arrested over the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl in Bandar Tasik Puteri, has had his remand extended and is expected to face charges this week

The suspect, a resident of the area, was initially detained on November 2 following a police report lodged by the victim's 35-year-old mother.

Gombak District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir, confirmed the remand extension and the upcoming charging.

"The suspect's remand has been extended for another five days from yesterday until 13 November," he stated in an official release last night.

The District Police Chief added that the suspect's court appearance is imminent:

"The suspect is expected to be charged this week. The date of the charge will be announced later."

The five-day remand extension began on November 9 and will run until November 13. - November 11, 2025
