BERSATU has expelled two of its division chiefs — Datuk Suhaimi Mohd Ghazali of Sepang and Mohd Shukor Mustaffa of Puchong — with immediate effect, following findings that both had breached the party constitution and code of ethics.

In an official notice issued yesterday, the party’s Disciplinary Board Chairman, Datuk Mohd Radzi Manan, confirmed that the pair were found to have violated Clause 9.1.4 of the BERSATU Constitution as well as the party’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.

Mohd Radzi said the decision followed a formal written complaint lodged by party members, prompting the board to initiate a full investigation. “The Disciplinary Board subsequently summoned the respondents for a hearing session on 30 October 2025 and thereafter reached its decision in accordance with Clause 22.5 of the BERSATU Constitution,” he stated.

As a result of the expulsion, both Suhaimi and Mohd Shukor automatically lose all positions held within the party and must be removed from BERSATU’s membership roll without delay. However, they retain the right to appeal to the party’s Appeals Board within 14 days.

The notice also confirmed that Abdul Razak Khamis, the Pendang Division Chief, was released with a formal reprimand. Abdul Razak had previously criticised what he described as the overly hardline approach taken by BERSATU Information Chief Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz on internal matters, calling him “too raw” in handling party issues.

The latest expulsions add to a widening disciplinary sweep within BERSATU. In October, the party dismissed Supreme Leadership Council member and Tasek Gelugor MP, Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan, while Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal was suspended for one term.

Four other members — Mohd Azrudin Md Idris (Hang Tuah Jaya), Mohd Faizal Asmar (Pengerang), Mohd Fadhli Ismail (Ipoh Timur) and Mohd Isa Mohd Saidi (Ampang) — were also expelled amid escalating internal tensions within the party. - November 18, 2025
