SEREMBAN police received a report from a 56-year-old man claiming to have lost RM1.5 million after being deceived by an actress and her husband.

It is understood that the fraud involved the sale of a non-existent land lot in Selangor.

Seremban District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Azahar Abdul Rahim, said the man made the report on January 7.

"The actress and her husband are suspects in a case being investigated regarding the sale of non-existent land in Selangor involving a loss of RM1.5 million," he told Berita Harian.

He explained that the police are still investigating, and some initial action has been taken since the suspect is currently believed not to be in the Peninsula.

"Information obtained so far shows that both suspects are in Sarawak. They have been registered as wanted persons and on the Malaysian Immigration Department's special watch list (SPK) for follow-up and arrest," he said.

The media previously reported that a beauty product entrepreneur claimed to have been the victim of a scam by a female actress and her husband involving losses amounting to hundreds of thousands of ringgit.

The revelation was made via a post on the Threads application, claiming that the actress who often graces TV dramas is now 'hiding' after allegedly defrauding the victim of money.

According to the victim, who uses the Threads account name kakbeyna_official, she lost RM300,000, but claimed that other victims suffered much greater losses, reaching millions of ringgit.

Following the revelation, netizens began to 'cite' several names of female actresses who have long since retired from the industry.

It is understood that several police reports have been made by the victim, and the woman also uploaded screenshots of messages sent by other victims, showing the MyKad of the actress and the man who is alleged to be her husband. – March 3, 2026
