King pays RM10 million in Tithe payment to Johor religious council
Contribution presented at Istana Pasir Pelangi as part of His Majesty’s annual religious obligation - March 11, 2026

HIS Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has fulfilled his annual tithe (zakat) obligation with a payment of RM10 million to the Johor Islamic Religious Council.

The zakat contribution was formally presented during a brief ceremony at Istana Pasir Pelangi in Johor Baru, where His Majesty handed over the cheque to Mohd Radzi Mohd Amin, chief executive officer of the Johor Islamic Religious Council.

According to a statement released on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page, the presentation ceremony was witnessed by Johor Mufti Datuk Yahya Ahmad and Johor Islamic Religious Department director Nasri Md Ali.
