Said the wife of Amirul Hafiz Omar, 33, a motorcyclist who was killed by a driver believed to be drunk on Jalan Raya Barat, Klang, on Wednesday.

Nor Nadia Abdul Majid arrived at the Magistrate's Court at 9.53 am today,  accompanied by her lawyer, Mohd Faizi Che Abu.

Also present to encourage the victim's wife were activist, Rafidah Ibrahim and businessman, Albert Tei Jiann Cheing.

The suspect, in his 20s, wearing a white collared T-shirt, arrived at 8.53 am, accompanied by police.

On Tuesday, South Klang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Lim Jit Huey confirmed that the suspect would be charged with charges related to the incident.

On Sunday, a motorcyclist died after being hit by a car driven by an individual believed to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs in a three-vehicle accident on Jalan Raya Barat, Klang, at 11.40 am.

Initial investigations found that the car driven by a man in his 20s was believed to have overtaken several vehicles before hitting the victim's motorcycle.

As a result of the collision, the victim, a local man in his 30s, was thrown onto a Perodua Myvi before being confirmed dead at the scene.

A man was arrested and remanded for four days to assist in the investigation.

South Klang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Lim Jit Huey, said that the investigation was being conducted under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. – April 1, 2026
