A FORMER Health and Safety Manager of THP Bina Sdn Bhd was charged with three counts of criminal breach of trust involving RM72,000 belonging to the company between 2013 and 2015.

Nasahruddin Ahmad, 56, pleaded not guilty to all charges after they were read out to him before Judge Rosli Ahmad in the Sessions Court.

THP Bina is a wholly owned subsidiary of TH Properties Sdn Bhd, which in turn is a subsidiary of Lembaga Tabung Haji, which specialises in construction and project management.

According to the charges, Nasahruddin is accused of committing criminal breach of trust involving money collected as a penalty amounting to RM72,000 from contractor company Fourth Wave Sdn. Bhd. in the proposed office complex development project in Precinct 3, Putrajaya by depositing the money into his personal account.

The act was allegedly committed between 26 April 2013 and 12 August 2015 at the Putrajaya Islamic Complex, Precinct 3, Putrajaya.

The charge was brought under Section 409 of the Penal Code, which provides for a prison sentence of not less than two years or a maximum of 20 years and whipping and may be subject to a fine. – September 3, 2026
