THE Selangor palace has warned the public against falling for alleged land and luxury car deals involving an individual suspected of falsely claiming to be the personal bodyguard of Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah.
In a statement today, the Selangor Sultan’s Office said the palace administration had taken note of the case and a police report lodged in connection with the alleged impersonation.
The individual is suspected of using the purported royal connection to deceive members of the public in land and luxury vehicle transactions for personal gain.

The palace said it viewed the matter seriously and had left the investigation entirely to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), which was expected to conduct a thorough, fair and transparent probe.
“The palace administration will not protect any party involved in this case,” the statement said.
It urged members of the public to verify directly with the Selangor palace administration any claims linking an individual to the royal institution before proceeding with transactions or making payments.
The statement did not specify when the police report was lodged, the amount allegedly involved, the number of people affected or whether any arrests had been made. - October 19, 2026
