POLICE in Ipoh are searching for a man suspected of stealing women’s undergarments from a clothesline at a house in Kampung Tasek, after footage of the incident circulated widely online.

Ipoh district police chief ACP Muhammad Najib Hamzah said investigations were launched after a video of the incident went viral on Facebook.

“The incident was reported to have occurred on 17 April and police have reviewed closed-circuit television (CCTV) recordings at the scene,” he said.

“Checks found that a man riding a motorcycle, with an unclear registration number and type, took the clothing at about 12.51pm,” he added.

He said efforts are ongoing to identify and locate the suspect to assist in the investigation.
