Police have launched a manhunt for two suspects following a fatal shooting outside an entertainment centre in Taman Industri Jaya, Skudai, which left one man dead and at least two others wounded.

POLICE are on a manhunt for two armed suspects following a shooting outside an entertainment outlet in Taman Industri Jaya, Skudai, late on Saturday night that left one man dead and at least two others injured.

Iskandar Puteri police chief Assistant Commissioner M Kumarasan said authorities received a report regarding the incident from a 27-year-old woman at approximately 11pm.

“A local man aged around 27 was confirmed dead at the scene, while another local man of a similar age sustained injuries after being struck by gunfire,” Harian Metro cited him saying  in a statement on Sunday.

“Police also believe there was another victim who suffered injuries, but his identity has yet to be established after he was taken away by his acquaintances immediately after the incident.”

Kumarasan said police were actively pursuing two suspects who remain at large to assist in investigations into the shooting.

He said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Authorities have appealed to members of the public with information relating to the incident to contact Senior Investigating Officer Assistant Superintendent Afiq Izani on 019-3683036, the Iskandar Puteri District Control Centre on 07-5113622, or the police hotline at 07-5114486.
